We were most recently delighted to find a Thai island which looked and felt like Kho Samui did in 1990. 

The amount of UNESCO sites in this region provides plenty of opportunities to balance the beach islands with history and culture.

We have had some massive adventures in South America, either on the luxury Hiram Bingham train to Macchu Piccu, the adventure ship Australis through the Patagonian Fjords or on two feet through the mountains of Argentina and Chile. Not forgetting beautiful Ecuador and The Galapagos.

The most essential element of travelling in South America is to understand how much time you've got and where your heart wants to go. The USA has some epic road trips and with our help you get to see the best bits and stay in the most interesting places. Family holidays don't come much for fun than this, though we also advise taking internal flights when you want to get around more; combining the west and east coast for example.  

Not everybody wants to do the full Jack Kerouac!  

Central America is perfect for a multi centre holiday, although it would be easy to spend all your holiday time in one destination, there's so much to see.

Canada and Alaska

Combine Canada's National Parks with the iconic Rocky Mountaineer train to truly appreciate the enormity of these beautiful landscapes. Canada is all about the outdoors, which includes skiing for winter months in Banff and Whistler.

The National Parks of India take a bit of travelling, but the reward of a tiger sighting are worth it and there are currently more tigers than ever been spotted. Combine this with either Goas' beaches or exploring Delhi or Mumbai? For the first time traveller to India, do not miss Rajhastan and its palaces; beautiful.

Nepal and Bhutan are Himalayan destinations which are perfect for trekking and unexplored culture. We loved trekking in July in Ladakh. Bhutan was also stunningly beautiful, with a couple of lux hotels to recommend.

Some of our best family holidays have been touring Sri Lanka - we have loads of tried and tested good ideas.

Indian Ocean

Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Pemba

Sunshine and lazing around in lovely resorts where the biggest question is how to fit snorkelling or scuba diving around delicious fresh food and a gentle wander.

Great combined with safari or for escaping the British winter.
